Skadaddle created and manages the Aha Moment Tour to support the campaign. The company built a custom 34-foot mobile video recording studio and executed a 25-city tour to collect the aha moment stories of people around the country. The 2009 and 2010 Tours each recorded more than 1000 stories (from which the national TV spots are cut). With the Tour as an anchor, the campaign has received millions of extended views in the social media space (bloggers and Tweeters LOVE this campaign, especially). The Tour culminates in a national survey, which allows the voting public to choose which of their favorite aha moments will be included in Mutual of Omaha’s national broadcast spots.
Broadcast/Print/Digital
Skadaddle Media created and developed the popular “Aha Moment” national advertising campaign for insurance giant and Fortune 500 Company, Mutual of Omaha. The campaign, which launched on Oscar night 2009, features real people telling real stories. In addition to the broadcast media component, Skadaddle created a digital “aha hub” where thousands of inspiring “aha moments” have been uploaded. Skadaddle also developed content for Mutual of Omaha’s agents, including video and print assets. Finally, Skadaddle maintains all social media components surrounding the campaign (including the Facebook, Twitter and YouTube presence).
Skadaddle Media is developing a multi-tiered marketing campaign for Windstream Communications, a Little Rock, AR-based company serving customers in 23 states. We’re excited for the launch of the campaign, which will include a tour, online digital hub and community outreach program supported by a comprehensive social media strategy. The campaign kicks off this summer, so stay tuned!
Just for fun and with a limited (NO) budget, Skadaddle created a fun, fake commercial for parents. Most parents have a 529 College Savings Plan, but what if that isn’t enough? It’s one thing for your kids to have the money for college, but what if they aren’t emotionally prepared to deal with the pressures left in the wake of terrible parenting? Enter the 530 Therapy Savings Plan! With little more than a few Tweets to promote the video, the 530 Therapy Savings Plan has received nearly 30,000 views on YouTube and continues to gain views. (Note: This video may be deemed offensive to some and includes some language.)
Digital/Social Media
Skadaddle Media was tapped to help develop a month-long retail campaign that simultaneously generated awareness and engagement online and traffic into stores. The 30 Reasons to Walk campaign was anchored by a microsite that not only featured MBT’s styles and products, but also a daily contest and promotions with both MapMyWalk and an online music service, which offered 30 great walking songs to download free. The month-long promotion resulted in thousands of page views and hundreds of blog posts from fans. Skadaddle also create a separate microsite for MBT’s professional trainers – developing a look and image for each trainer.

Wherever the need is a non-profit that raises money to build eco-sanitation toilets in the poorest regions of the world. The toilets not only help alleviate the global sanitation crisis, but also provide sustainable, fund raising solutions, as the waste is turned into nutrient rich soil, which can be bagged and sold. Skadaddle created and executed a month-long Twitter campaign designed to get people talking about sanitation (and, frankly, talking about sh*t). We developed “Twitter for Sh-tters” and raised enough money to build four or five toilets, each of which will last more than 20 years and service hundreds of people. At the time, the campaign was hailed on Twitter as, “Most creative social cause marketing yet?”
Events/Digital/Branded Entertainment
Skadaddle was tapped to help traditional B2B enterprise leader, Nominum, launch its innovative, new consumer service. Skadaddle helped write and produce a series of live-action vignettes, which were performed at the company’s global launch event in New York. Skadaddle also edited a series of videos and is in development on a wide variety of future programs for the company.
Skadaddle has developed and produced a fictional teaser/pilot for a Web series called MacGertler (starring Food Network star, Adam Gertler), which is most easily described as The Food Network Meets MacGyver (with a healthy dose of Austin Powers for good measure!). The pilot/teaser is designed to showcase what the show can be, including innovative use of comic book-like graphics.
